Minot City Assessor
The Minot City Assessor's Office is primarily responsible for assuring that every parcel of land and the buildings upon it are uniformly appraised and then assessed for tax purposes.
In order to perform this task, every real estate transaction is documented in this office. This allows our office to prepare and maintain accurate records.
The assessor estimates the market value of all property as of February 1st for the tax statements that go out 10 months later in December.
It is also not uncommon for the assessor to be required to make estimates on property without the benefit of seeing the interior.
